• Assess orientation with:
    • What’s your name?
    • Where are you?
    • What month is it?
  • When assessing motor response, you need to ask a two-step action
    • Grasping and releasing your finger
    • Opening mouth and sticking out tongue
  • Central stimulus
    • Trapezius squeeze
      • Localising = moving hand above the clavicle towards the stimulus
      • Normal flexion/withdraws to pain = arm flexion with rapid movement away from the stimulus
      • Abnormal flexion = arm flexes slowly and comes across the body
      • Extension = elbow extension
    • Supraorbital notch
